Duplicate commits result in overwriting the file

  • I already have a package naming "AAA-1.0.0.1.nupkg" on the server,When i upload it again ,the package will be overwritten ,How do you prevent uploading the same version of a package without overwriting an existing package on the server.

    Hi @huomm23_2930,

In the Basic and Enterprise versions of ProGet, you can simply use the publish role on the users you don't want to have the overwrite permissions on, but in the free version, you can restrict the Administrator role from being able to overwrite your packages. To do this, you will need to perform the following steps:

    1. Navigate to Administration > Security > Tasks tab
    2. Click the Customize Tasks button
    3. Click Administrator in the list
    4. Uncheck Overwrite package in the Feeds section
    5. Click Save

That should prevent your packages from being overwritten.

Please let me know if this works out for you!

    Thanks,
    Rich

  • Thanks,But follow your step,I still can't prevent the package from being overwritten,I used the paket.exe tool to upload the package,And A key is created as the administrator,Does it have anything to do with the setting of this key?
