Has anyone created a BuildMaster repository monitor for Azure (TFVC)?
-
We are now using Azure DevOps (in TFVC mode, not Git mode) for source control (Azure DevOps). We have been using BuildMaster with a local TFS server and triggering a build after a checkin to the local TFS server (this is with version 5, not 6, and I think it's using a Legacy TFS module).
Has anyone created (or have suggestions for) a repository monitor for an Azure DevOps TFVC repositry - that can trigger a build after a checkin?
I have seen the documentation for repository monitors for Git and Subversion, and I have searched this forum, but I haven't seen any for Azure DevOps TFVC.

Hi Philip,
At this time, we don't have a specific TFVC Repository Monitor but I have created a GitHub issue to add one: https://github.com/Inedo/inedox-tfs/issues/30
Hope this helps,

Thanks for creating the GitHub issue.

No problem! Barring any unforeseen issues, we expect to have this available no later than next Friday.

Any update on this request yet? Thanks.

Hi Philip,
Sorry for the delay, most (i.e. all) of our dev resources were assigned to the BuildMaster v6.2 release this week. Now that it's out, I have been assigned the implementation for this, scheduled for Jan 31, however I expect to get to it a lot sooner than that.
Thank you for your patience,
-John

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to being able to use this monitor.

Hi Philip,
The next TFS extension v1.4.0 now has a TFVC monitor included. It's a little rough around the edges i.e. it monitors separate paths instead of branches for the time being.
Let me know if you run into any issues with it.
Thanks,
-John
