PyPI connector fails to connect to https://pypi.org

I'm getting the following error when I set up a connector to https://pypi.org, I see the error below in the Administration screen. We're using 5.2.9
Message: Error listing latest packages from pypi.org connector: The 'link' start tag on line 14 position 2 does not match the end tag of 'head'. Line 18, position 3.

Hello; most likely, you have a proxy in between ProGet and and PyPi.org. This can be configured under Admin > Proxy
