ProGet Asset Export 500 error

I get a 500 server error when trying to download all files in the root of an asset directory. This behavior occurs using both IIS and Integrated Web servers.
I've tried the following URL formats:
https://<servername>/endpoints/<assetdirectoryname>/export?format=zip&recursive
https://<servername>/endpoints/<assetdirectoryname>/export/?format=zip&recursive
https://<servername>/endpoints/<assetdirectoryname>/export/content?format=zip&recursive
https://<servername>/endpoints/<assetdirectoryname>/export/content/?format=zip&recursiveUsing an API with full rights within header and as basic authorization still results in 500 error.
