The SELECT permissions was denied on the object 'Configuration', database 'ProGet', schema 'dbo'.

Get the above error when attempting to upgrade from 4.0.8 to 4.7.1. Not sure what user needs what permissions or why those permissions aren't set in the first place (how did this get installed originally without the appropriate permissions?)

      Product: ProGet
      Version: 4.7.1

The user running the proget installation process must be a dbo of the ProGet database.

The windows domain user running the installation is mapped to the ProGet database user dbo. The dbo user has db_owner role and owns schema db_owner. What permission is missing here? Thanks.

Figured it out. It's not the user running the installation that needs db_owner membership. It's the SQL user (i.e. progetuser) created in the original setup that needs temporary db_owner membership for the upgrade process. Thanks.
