I've installed the free version of BuildMaster 3.5.7 on a reinstalled Win7 Family Premium (x64) system
When I try to start the BM service I receive:
"An unhandled exception ('System.TypeInitializationException') occurred in bmservice.exe [8736]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following error:0x80040070

The BM database was created on an existing SQL Express 2012 DBMS.

Any ideas concerning the bmservice exception?
      TIA
      John

This error happens with certain database access errors; we will improve the error message in 3.5.9, but you can run the service interactively to find out what's up

At which point I killed it.

On a side note the web server starts then stops immediately.
If you need more info tell me
          Thanks

In this case, it's the problem with the credentials the service is running under.

The service credentails need to have a login to the database and be granted the BuildMasterUser_Role.

              Thanks Alex.
Changing the type/user credentials did the trick.
