Unable to add git repository
-
Hello,
I am unable to add git repository to my Buildmaster application. I provide ssh://git@gitlab.xxx (company's own hosted gitlab server). I have added the ssh key and tested via command line on server and I am able to clone the repo without problems from command line. Buildmaster is running on Win2012 server. You documentation about how to set up git repo is a redirect back to http://inedo.com/buildmaster/extensions/git (where link to "howto integrate" is posted).
Thank you,
MilanProduct: BuildMaster
Version: 4.8.4

Sorry, few more details, from web interface, after hitting "test connection" I am getting either "invalid private key", or "Unable to access buildmaster service" upon restarting the service and Buildmaster webapp on IIS.

Did you make sure to check the "Use Standard Git Client" option in the provider configuration? The included light-weight git client does not support SSH connections. Note that this will then connect as the user hosting the BuildMaster service.

Hi Tod, yes, I am using standard client, as I said, I managed to connect/clone gitlab repo from command line without problems.
Thanks,
Milan

Tod,
I have resolved my problem. Where I select "server" on new git repo setup, I shouldn't have chosen the target server, but the server, where buildmaster (and git) is running. This confused me.
Thanks for attention,
Milan
