Robots.txt not working

I've been trying and it doesn't seem to find the robots.txt file I've added to the web application folder. Is there a specific way to enable it for ProGet? I always get 404 errors nonetheless.
I've looked for anything posted about this before and haven't found a thing mentioning it.

I'm afraid we don't support serving "arbitrary" files from the web application like that, and this was the first request for it, so I'm not sure if there's a "workaround" you can use

Well maybe it could be useful to at least integrate into the configuration of the application. This would be a good option if you'd choose that you don't want it to be found in online search results.
