      Hi

As explained on previous posts here today, there are some serious bugs with ProGet 3.1.1 release which breaks our daily builds and promotion of packages in a pretty big way.

However, it does not seem easy to downgrade to version 3.1.0. I think you need some assistance and documentation to help people to downgrade in a hurry if there are problems with a new release, especially in an enterprise environment.

The installer for 3.1.0 simply says "A newer version is installed". I am now going to try and downgrade by following some of the steps on the manual installation page, but I am still nervous because I know the installer for 3.1.1 made upgrades to the database and I am not sure what to do about those. I am hoping it will still work against the 3.1.0 web site - if not I may have to restore the database backup.

      Product: ProGet
      Version: 3.1.1

I downgraded to 3.1.0 by uninstalling the new version and installing the old version - just don't select the options to delete the database and packages during uninstall and you are fine.

If you use a custom connection string (that was my case) - you need to know it during the installation.

          Thank you.

I have replaced the contents of the WebApp and Service folders with the contents of the 3.1.0 manual installation zip file (except the config files of course).

This seems to work as well. I think it is more or less the same effect as what you did by uninstalling and reinstalling, although your method is probably a bit safer!

Luckily the database schema doesn't seem to have any updates in 3.1.1 that means it doesn't work with 3.1.0.
