How to configure Subversion Source Control Provider

  • I'm trying to access code at https://svn.thehartford.com/svn/cto_ahptraining_testvs10xml/trunk/. I specified https://svn.thehartford.com/svn/ as the Root URL. I used the AD service account we use for all SVN access via our current build server. I created a repository named cto_ahptraining_testvs10xml and specified "cto_ahptraining_testvs10xml" as the Relative Path. When I click "Test Connection" I get:

Unable to connect. svn: E215004: Authentication failed and interactive prompting is disabled; see the --force-interactive option
svn: E215004: Unable to connect to a repository at URL 'https://svn.thehartford.com/svn/cto_ahptraining_testvs10xml'
svn: E215004: No more credentials or we tried too many times.Authentication failed

How should the Source Control Provider be configured to enable Test Connection?

If I try to create a new .Net application when I get to the Source Control Provider I select the Subversion provider I created. There's no place to select the repository. I assume the "Path to Solution file" would be "trunk", a branch or a tag, but I'm not clear how to properly construct nor use the Subversion Source Control Provider. Can you provide guidance? I can't find any comprehensive docs on this.

    Product: BuildMaster
    Version: 4.7.5

  • Received guidance from Inedo support team.

  • For completeness, this specific issue was related to invalid credentials, in this case, the username was being entered with a domain prefix when the SVN server did not require one.
