Private Bower repo

  • Hi,

Due to the way proxyserver is set up we are having issues downloading bower packages from some servers. I was under impression that ProGet can host the Bower packages? However, even if i download the package into the Bower feed on our ProGet and configure the .bowercc to point at the local server i still cannot get the bower client to download that package. Please advise on how to achive this.

    Product: ProGet
    Version: 3.7.5

  • ProGet can host a Bower repo, but a Bower repo is really nothing more than a name/url mapping that points to a Git repo. The packages themselves remain stored in a Git repo. To proxy everything, you'd need to set up a local Git repository and change the ProGet package URL for that package to refer to the local copy.
