Symbol packages from connectors

The documentation says that symbol packages from connectors cannot be served over the symbol server. Are there any plans to support that?
We're using Artifactory for all of our artifacts, including NuGet packages, so currently we need to deploy our packages to both Artifactory and ProGet, even though ProGet is only used as symbol server, not as package feed.

It's unlikely this will be supported. There is no way to identify from metadata a symbol package vs a regular package... you have to open the zip file and see if it contains pdb/src files... which means we'd have to download every version of every package in a remote feed.
If Microsoft / NuGet team ever implements a mechanism for identifying , then it's a possibility.
