Server variable issues

We upgraded to 4.3.8 from 4.2.4 and my server variables are no longer translating. These are legacy projects configured to support variable old and new variable formats. I tried all notation styles $SERVER.SESSIONSTATE, ${SERVER.SESSIONSTATE}, %SERVER.SESSIONSTATE%. I tried removing and recreating the variable. Any ideas about what to try next?

This is a known issue (BM-1546) for BuildMaster v4.3.8 and will be resolved in v4.3.9.
