All Build master agents' status is checking

We are using build master 4.0.9 version. Many time we are facing agents' status is checking. This has been going on for over 10 hours and deployment is very slow i.e. for 10 MB data transfer to another server it will take more 2 hours.Any idea what would cause this?

Were there any error messages before this happened?
Either way, I would restart the BuildMaster service and web application. It also may be worth upgrading to the newest version to see if that helps.
