Capture outputs of database query
-
Hi there,
Below Execute-DatabaseSatement operation outputs the database query in BuildMaster log.
Just wondering is there a way I could capture the output of below database query into a text file?
Execute-DatabaseStatement
(
Connection: $ServerName,
Statement: >>SELECT
S.InterfaceId,
[Name],
ScheduleType,
ScheduleTimeSpan,
IsActive,
[DefaultEventType]
FROM [IIDB].[dbo].[InterfaceSchedule] S
LEFT OUTER JOIN [IIDB].[dbo].[Interfaces] I ON S.InterfaceID = I.ID
order by Name>>
);Regards,

The Execute SQL Operation will only capture output specitically printed to the host. To capture the output of select statements, you might want to use a tool like "isql.exe" instead, that prints the results of a select statement to the console.
