Using pgutil, unable to set debian component when uploading a package
-
I am trying to upload a package to my debian feed. For this I am using pgutil. There is a
--distributionflag but no--componentflag. Some forums have suggested that using--distribution=<dist>/<component>will work. So I tried it:pgutil packages upload --feed=deb-engineering --input-file=zip_3.0-r2_amd64.deb --distribution=3.4.3/stableThis results in a package with the path
3.4.3/stable/main/zip_3.0-r2_amd64.deb
It appears that the component is forced to bemain -
Hi @rhowell_8827,
Looking at the code in both ProGet and pgutil, it looks like that simplified upload API only supports the
distributionargument. We'll addcomponentin the same manner via PG-3172 in an upcoming maintenance release -- ideally next Friday (should be relatively simple). Thanks,
Alana
