ProGet -> Helm: Unable to cast object of type 'System.String' to type 'Inedo.ProGet.Feeds.IComparablePackageVersion'.

Hi

We're encountering the following error with our helm-chart-feed when trying to download a chart (does not matter if using helm-cli or direct http-request):

Message: "An error occurred processing a GET request to https://packages-01.net.ingtes.ch/helm/helm-dev/ingtes-success-mobile-host/0.2.0/ingtes-success-mobile-host-0.2.0.tgz: Unable to cast object of type 'System.String' to type 'Inedo.ProGet.Feeds.IComparablePackageVersion'."
Details: "System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'System.String' to type 'Inedo.ProGet.Feeds.IComparablePackageVersion'.

We strongly suspect this is a classic c# casting bug introduced with 2023.0.0.

• The issue is reproducible whenever we upgrade from v2022.0.29
• Downgrading to v2022.0.29 resolves the issue

More info:

• Installed on Windows Server 2022 with Inedo Hub
• The last version working for us is 2022.0.29
• Affected Version: ProGet 2023.0.0 and higher

Hi @h-morgenthaler_3015, we are currently investigating this. ,It sounds like an issue we fixed in ProGet 2022 already, but maybe it didn't get merged over. Please stay tuned.

Alana was correct, the change was not merged into the 2023 release. The fix, PG-2350, will be released on Friday in ProGet 2023.4. If you need it earlier than Friday, I can push a pre-release version of ProGet 2023.4 for you. Please let me know!
