We run prometheus to monitor our servers and cadvisor to export docker information to prometheus. It would be very useful if ProGet could export some sort of statistics to better monitor the load on the servers and maybe indicate the actual load and when you should upgrade to other licenses.

UPDATE in 2023 - see Inedo Products and Prometheus support to learn more about how to integrate our products together

Thanks for the suggestion! It's the first time I heard about Prometheus; do you think this would be easy to do?

We do integrate with a took called Loupe by Gibraltar Software, which does provide great, details, and information about performance.

This will be useful for us too. An exporter will need to be written. An introduction to writing exporter can be found here: https://prometheus.io/docs/instrumenting/writing_exporters/

          Thanks.

Is there anything new on this topic?
We would enjoy it to monitor Proget with Prometheus.

            Best regards

@sdohle_3924 thanks for letting us know; you're the first person in two years to mention it again, and it's not on our roadmap at this time. Please feel free to share more info about why it would be helpful, how you would use it, etc. It's a pretty big/risky engineering undertaking, we'd want to learn how it will benefit users before considering it further.

Note: we already have a Health Api which makes it easy to check on status, etc.

I second this! We also use Prometheus for metrics on as many of our tools as we can get.

Thanks @kichikawa_2913 ! We'll add this to our 2023 roadmap review, and we can at least spend sometime reasearching / learning more about it then.

                      Hi @f-medini_8369,

Here is our documentation on how to use Prometheus:
