We are on Proget 2022.0.11 and we are chasing an issue trying to push a python package into Proget. It accepts the wheel, but is failing with a 400 Bad Request with the upload of the sdist tar.gz. The wheel shows in the Proget UI, but the sdist does not.

It shows an error of "Source distribution does not contain a PKG-INFO entry." I have checked the file and contents and the PKG-INFO does indeed exist the build seems to build things just fine. I just has an issue pushing to the internal repo.

      Am I missing something here?

        Hi @cshipley_6136 ,

Happy to help with this! A couple questions...

Does this apply to all packages you try, or just this one, particular package?

Has this worked in previous versions of ProGet, or is this the first time you're trying it?

Do you get the same error when uploading the tar.gz through the web interface (Feed > Add Package)? If not, what specific commands are you using to upload?

And lastly, can you send us the package files? Then, we will be able to investigate/debug the issue.

For the package files, you can email them to support at inedo com (just include [QA-957] in the subject, so we can find it) - but please let us know if you email, because that box isn't monitored. Or if it's easier for you, please don't hesitate to create a ticket :)

        Cheers,
        Alana

Actually, our email did not like us sending the files. I went ahead and logged a ticket [EDO-8787] so I could attach the files.

I'm having the same issue. If you are able to solve it, please let me know.

                Hi @krampusdecorous_7076,

We have created a ticket, PG-2233, to fix this issue in ProGet. We are not exactly sure what is causing the issue as of yet, but we are able to recreate the issue and working on a fix. We are currently targeting Nov 18th for a release date on the fix.

                Thanks,
                Rich
