UPDATE: Debian (Apt) Connectors are here! Check out this blog article to learn more:
      https://blog.inedo.com/inedo/new-debian-feeds/

Hello. We would like to use ProGet as a local repository for all of our systems. We are using CentOS Debian and Ubuntu. I found an option to import the rpm repository, but there is no apt import. Are there any options to import apt repositories?

Hello; due to the complexity of handing the apt signing, connectors to other apt repositories are not supported for Debian Feeds in ProGet at this time; we didn't anticipate this being a common usecase.

You could, however, publish .deb packages you've downloaded to the repository manually.

          Hi,

          any updates on this?

Connectors for all package types are a very common use case for us.
We want to secure the supply chain and have to get all package access through a mirror/proxy server. Currently we have to use a artifact server product from a competitor for that.

But it would be a great benefit to have connector for all supported package types in proget.

          Best regards

@sdohle_3924 so far you've been the only other person to ask it :)

It's very complicated from engineering standpoint, and there hasn't been a lot of demand for it. Good to know that you're interested.

It's likely not going to make our roadmap in the near future, but perhaps next year we can consider it.

@atripp Can I add a +1 for adding support for proxying Debian/APT repositories please.

We're also having to use another product for that functionality, when it would be nice to be able to have all of our artifacts available in one place.

              Thanks,
              Rob

Just wondering if a Connector for Debian/APT repositories has made it onto the roadmap yet?

                Thanks,

                  Hi @rob-leadbeater_2457 ,

Good timing! This is something we plan to ship in the next or following maintenance release.

Actually, we had to completely reimplement Debian/APT feeds from scratch, so there will be a "Debian" and a "Debian (Legacy)" feed type, and a way to migrate from the legacy to the standard feed types.

I added a note to update this post once we have it ready to ship.

                  Cheers,
                  Alana

                    Hi @atripp

That's great - I look forward to testing this out.

                    Cheers,
                    Rob
