Hi, is it possible to rename a subfolder in assets in proget?
Currently i can only delete and re-add it.

      Thx for your feedback

        Hi @martin-noack_4528 ,

This isn't currently supported, in part because it wouldn't be possible to do with cloud storage providers. It also doesn't seem to happen that often, so we didn't implement it.

Is this an operation you'd do often? We can consider adding it, though it wouldn't work for cloud storage because, for whatever reason, the only way to "rename" a folder is by moving each item individually (which can take a long time).

        Cheers,
        Steve

          Hello @stevedennis,

sorry I didn't read your answer properly (and do not see your question). Yes. I miss this feature from time to time.
On the doc page of proget it is propagated that assets can replace a network share. And I like this concept.

But from time to time I had to move, or rename some folders or files. We are not on a cloud storage. If you could implement the feature but there is a restriction for cloud storage I would be very happy :-)

            Hi @martin-noack_4528 ,

            Nice points :)

We added this to our ProGet 2023 roadmap as a "Nice to Have"; we're a little behind on the release now so I don't know if it will make it, but we will reevaluate after 2023.0 is released at that point.

            Cheers,
            Alana
